    I was faced with a dire situation on Thursday, March 12th when I was called by my niece and nephew to come to my sister's home in Muskegon where she was under hospice care and near death. I tried to start my 2021 Equinox and was unable to do so. The computer screen indicated "ESC Saver" which I did not understand. I thought that perhaps it was a weak or dead battery. I called the Meyers Chevrolet Service Manager Art Wallagher and he was not able to determine the problem based on the information that I gave him. Art suggested that I bring the car to their shop if I could get it started and the service department would try to determine the problem. I was able to start the vehicle and keep it running and it was not necessary to have it towed to Meyers Chevrolet. I called Art back and told him that the vehicle was started but the same message continued to appear on the computer screen. I told him that it was quite important for me to find a way to travel to Muskegon to pay what was probably my last visit to my dying sister. He told me that he already had a loaner vehicle waiting for me. i drove my Equinox to Meyers Chevrolet and left it there for the service department staff to review. I was able to drive a Traverse loaner to my sister's home to visit her. I received a phone call from Art later that afternoon and he informed me that they could not find an issue with the Equinox; as a result, they reprogrammed every applicable component of the vehicle, and I picked it up the next day. I sincerely appreciated the empathy afforded me by Art and his service department not only for their willingness to find the source of the problem with my Equinox but also for allowing me to use a loaner vehicle to visit my sick and dying sister.
